HYAS Infosec is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Software QA Automation Engineer to help build, test, and deliver our cyber security solutions. HYAS is at the forefront of a paradigm shift in cyber security as we not only focus on a unique understanding of adversary infrastructure and malicious actors use of it, but we utilize our unique data and approach to lead the charge in modern, advanced Protective DNS solutions. You will join the Engineering Team who is responsible for the overall quality of our product solutions. As a member of our collaborative, fast-pace environment, you will  take on a multitude of tasks within the software test life cycle - from designing and executing meaningful tests, to discovering and tackling pesky software bugs, to building and scaling our test automation. Job location can be remote in the United States or Canada; preferred locations are Vancouver, B.C., N. California, S. California, Denver, or Austin, but all locations are encouraged to apply.


Understand our product requirements and create well-defined test cases and test plans
Organize and maintain our test case repository
Execute tests on new developments and for product releases
Write clear and concise bug reports and advocate for quality improvements
Identify opportunities to improve processes and automate workflows
Automate our API and UI tests as defined in our test plans
Support the development of test automation framework
Work closely with engineering teams, product management and security services to improve overall product quality


Minimum 5+ years of experience as QA Engineer, SDET, or in other related roles
Strong understanding of test methodologies, test types, and test management
Excellent creative problem-solving skills and communication ability
Be a team player who’s eager to learn and grow, and has exceptional attention to details
Experience with SDLC, agile development principles and practices
Experience with REST API and micro-services architectures
Experience executing and debugging API and UI tests with software tools (Postman, Swagger, curl, DevTools, etc.)
Experience developing automated API and UI tests with python framework unittest or pytest
Experience with Git, SVN or other version control system
Experience extending test framework, developing functional and reliable test libraries
Experience with Azure, AWS or other cloud computing services

Nice to have:

Experience in a high-growth early stage SaaS company
Experience leading and mentoring other members on the Quality team
Experience with computer networking and cyber security
Experience managing databases and maintaining test environments
Previously set up test automation from scratch, and developed a complete automated test solution
Good understanding of CI/CD with experience integrating automated tests into pipelines
