SALES ENGINEER


Functioning as a technical subject matter expert and champion throughout the sales lifecycle, you will partner with our Account Executive team helping to articulate HYAS’ overall value proposition. The Sales Engineer should be a technology and solution advisor with practical experience in cyber security. The SE will act as a solution consultant that can speak to the security landscape, architectural and network models, and possess the ability to discuss and present to senior client stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

  • Understand complex customer business problems
  • Demonstrate expert-level proficiency of HYAS solutions, including all current and future features
  • Create presentations and reports that address customer business problems and highlight the value of HYAS solutions
  • Map customer problems and systems to HYAS solutions and spearhead customer trial and Proof of Concept
  • Function as a technical expert throughout Sales engagements, ensuring that tactical motions in the pre-sales and POC process line up with strategic account goals
  • Identifying any custom technical requirements and coordinating as necessary with the Product and Engineering team.
    Work with Sales team to close new business by addressing prospect’s technical challenges
  • Build, manage and maintain relationships with the customer, in addition to relationships with peers and partners
  • Enable new Account Executives for success by transforming them into HYAS experts through training and support
  • Establish confidence in recommendations via product expertise, technical phone calls, workflow outlines, product roadmap discussions & business process diagrams
  • Work with customers to identify and investigate findings during a PoC through use of HYAS solutions and in collaboration with Product and Engineering


What you'll need:

  • Proven experience demonstrating technical product features to a wide range of audiences including enterprise clients
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills - participating in solution demos and client calls related to specific project requirements
  • A technical background, and preferably experience in a SaaS environment.
  • Understanding of network security and the role of DNS within an organization’s infrastructure
  • You can establish great cross-functional relationships and rapport with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to quickly learn about new industries and products, and continuously raise the bar
  • Familiarity with network security, threat investigation and analysis, and concepts related to threat attribution
  • Experience designing and troubleshooting networks preferred
  • Familiar with CRM tools and service platforms such as Hubspot, Zendesk, and Confluence
