What You Will Accomplish:


  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business goals
  • Promotion of employee morale, engagement, fairness, diversity and equity
  • Provide employee reviews and create training plans
  • Create and maintain policy / procedure manual and employee handbook ensuring compliance with federal / provincial legislation
  • Maintain strong cross departmental relationships



What You Will Bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of HR experience, ideally in a technology company
  • Strong technical skills in HR management, including Recruitment, Compensation, Payroll and Benefits 
  • Demonstrated strong effective communication in writing and interpersonal communication
  • Highly developed and demonstrated teamwork and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to execute with a high degree of confidentiality in interpersonal interactions and business conversations
  • An unusual degree of common sense in working with co-workers and the executive team
  • Knowledge of regulations across both Canada and the United States, and experience with people and HR issues across both Canada and the United States
  • Demonstrated experience and a zest for expanding and learning new skills
  • A strong commitment to and interest in employee relations and communication, with the ability to create relationships both in-person and virtually
  • Experience in and the ability to lead in an environment of constant change.
  • Experience working in a flexible, employee-empowering work environment. A structured or large company experience will not be ideal at HYAS
  • Proven ability to work well independently, without requiring strong oversight, and with remote colleagues via email, Slack, video, or phone
  • Prior experience in a technology company (bonus)
  • A desire to rid the world of the worst cybercriminals and protect both enterprises and consumers
